Meet the Artist Reception — Saturday, November 4 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“I am blessed to paint en plein aire, the landscapes of the Cape that bring me peace and remind me of my childhood.”

The act of creating something has always been a refreshing pastime. Over 40 years I have experimented with many materials including clay, wool, thread, wood, glass, watercolor and now oil paints. I can lose myself for hours making with my hands. My soul is content and full in the process. Once I embraced my “no fear” policy, I began painting with oils. It has been an adventure discovering the vast materials available to me, as well as the wonderful artists who have shared skills, materials, and advice.

Oil painting is a discovery for me, revealing something new. Each painting represents my experimenting with a new tool, color or guidance from artists I’ve grown to know. The bright colors are how I am feeling, full of life. Born on Cape Cod, I have shuttled back and forth to  Connecticut with my family. Now I’m back, finally retired and ready to devote myself to my art and open to new discoveries each day.
