Join us for a reading from Provincetown novelist Heidi Jon Schmidt and conversation with author and friend Zygmunt Plater.

Heidi Jon Schmidt writes stories, essays and novels, most recently The House on Oyster Creek and The Harbormaster’s Daughter. Her work has been published in The Atlantic, The New York Times, has won the O’Henry Award and others.  She has lived in Provincetown for forty years and still has much to learn. 

Zyg Plater is an environmental protection lawyer, professor at Boston College, and fly fisherman. His book The Snail Darter & the Dam is the account of his work to save a river in Tennessee and the small but very significant snail darter fish that swam there. He lives in Provincetown.
