Elisabeth Pearl Art in the Anne H. Brock Room

May 1 @ 10:00 am - May 31 @ 4:00 pm

A painting from Elizabeth Pearl, a colorful night street scene of Provincetown
TRURO PUBLIC LIBRARY ART EXHIBIT: Elisabeth Pearl
The Truro Public Library is excited to present local artist Elizabeth Pearl’s series of paintings of neighboring Provincetown’s joyous street life. This presentation will be available for viewing throughout the month of May in the library’s Community Room.
Elisabeth Pearl has been recording her version of Provincetown’s quirky, colorful characters, architecture and the offbeat choreography of Commercial Street in lively, engaging paintings for many years. Rendered in oil and in brilliant color, Pearl’s paintings not only entertain but invite the viewer to join the scenes she has so brilliantly crafted. One can find humor, drama and mystery in Pearl’s work and, quite often, there are furry friends as well. Look carefully to find her signature – her initials, humorously displayed in unexpected places. A Life Member of the Copley Society of Art in Boston, Pearl’s work includes abstracts, land and seascapes, city and townscapes as well as works that explore religious symbolism and mystic references. Elisabeth Pearl has been a featured artist for many years at Larkin Gallery in Provincetown.
