Join us for a reading by the Ballston Beach Poets, exploring the theme of “A Sense of Place”—be it physical, emotional, geographical, or something else.
Their work ranges from the edgy to the tender, from the mythic to the everyday, as they explore the ebb & flow of love, belonging, loss, and renewal. The Ballston Beach Poets have been holding annual workshops on Ballston Beach for twelve years, sharing poetry, inspiration, and walks on the beach.

Sue D. Burton
Sue D. Burton’s BOX (2018), awarded the Two Sylvias Press Poetry Prize, is a finalist for the Foreword INDIES Poetry Book of the Year. Her long poem Little Steel was also released in 2018 (Fomite Press). She was awarded Fourth Genre’s 2017 Steinberg Prize for her sonnet sequence “Box Set.” She lives in Burlington, Vermont. www.suedburton.com

Laura Foley
Laura Foley is the author of six poetry collections. The Glass Tree was a finalist for the NH Writer’s Project’s Outstanding Book of Poetry and won a Foreword Book of the Year Award; Joy Street was honored with the Bisexual Writer’s Award; Night Ringing was a Finalist for a Foreword Book of the Year Award. Pam Harrison
A graduate of Smith College and the Vermont College MFA Program in Writing, Pamela Harrison was a finalist for the Walt Whitman Award, winner of the 2002 PEN Northern New England Discovery Poet Award, invited to read her poems at the Library of Congress (2003),and has five collections published by WordTech Communications of Cincinnati.She lives in Norwich, Vermont. www.pamelaharrisonpoet.com

Clyde Watson
Clyde Watson is an award-winning children’s book author and composer. She has written theatrical scripts for The Christmas Revels, the Summer Revels, and the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site. Her poetry has appeared in Pastoral Magazine and a number of anthologies. She is a member of the Author’s Guild of America, which hosts her website www.clydewatson.com. She divides her time between Truro and Etna, New Hampshire.

Carol Westberg
Carol Westberg’s Terra Infirma was a finalist for the Tampa Review Prize for Poetry, and Slipstream was a finalist for the New Hampshire Literary Award for Outstanding Book of Poetry. Her poems have appeared in Prairie Schooner, Hunger Mountain, Valparaiso Poetry Review, CALYX, and other journals.
