Participants will learn about the life of Shakespeare, Shakespearean London, the use of Blank Verse in acting, the lives of famous Shakespearean actors, movement, breath exercises, costume, and vocal projection. Every session will include warm-ups, monologues/soliloquies for beginning actors, and scene study for advanced actors. Guest professionals may attend and discuss their experience with Shakespearean performance. No experience is necessary for this workshop! Actors will perform in a non-judgmental, collaborative atmosphere that will provide an immersion into the works of the world’s greatest playwright.

Stuard’s past workshops in Provincetown and Orleans have proven to be very popular with experienced and beginning actors. He studied Shakespeare as an undergraduate at Columbia University and acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, the summer Shakespeare intensive at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and the Harvard Shakespeare Workshop.

Final Showcase for Friends & Family on Saturday, May 3 @ 2:00
