The Outer Cape Mock Caldecott 2019

Join us for our fifth Annual Mock Caldecott!

Assisted by 2015 Caldecott Committee member and local resident Barbara Klipper, we are pleased to present our fifth Annual Mock Caldecott–now the Outer Cape Mock Caldecott. Truro Library patrons and Truro Central School students awarded the 2018 Truro Library Mock Caldecott medal to Life, illustrated by Brendan Wenzel, written by Cynthia Rylant, and published by Beach Lane Books.  The Outer Cape Mock Caldecott 2019, held this year with Provincetown, offers seven books to choose from, and provides “points to consider” when making your selection. Soon, we will have multiple copies of the books available to check out along with this year’s ballots. Be part of this year’s “Committee” by voting; in 2016, we chose the same book as the official Caldecott Committee! You can pick up a ballot at the Library or download a ballot here. You can also follow national mock Caldecott results at the mock elections blog by the Association for Library Service to Children. Have fun!
