Come Learn the basics of Beekeeping.  The Honey Bee is an integral part of our lives and all life on Earth.  Whether you want to keep bees for their honey or just learn about the fascinating life in a hive.  David will Share lessons learned in the apiary over his last 20 years tending the Honey Bee. 

Dave will give an overview of hive management including—honey Bee life cycle; equipment; designing the bee yard; starting a new hive with package bees or a nuc; build up/honey flows; swarms/splits; pest management including varroa mites treatment; harvest; and winterizing.
