The Town of Truro is pleased to announce that Truro voters made funding for the Childcare Voucher Program a permanent part of the town budget at the 2023 Annual Town Meeting (Article 12) and 2023 Annual Town Election Ballot (Question 2). The Childcare Voucher Program is for eligible birth through four-year-old children for direct-to-provider tuition assistance up to a maximum of $7,500 for each eligible child.
Eligibility:
Children of Truro residents, children of Town of Truro employees, and children of employees and business owners employed for more than 20 hours per week by a business with a physical location in the Town of Truro provided that the location is the primary location of the employee's work for each month for which tuition assistance is provided.
Deadline:
One application form and associated documents should be completed and submitted for each eligible child. The deadline to register to receive funding for the second half-year of the program (March 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026) is February 28, 2026. If you were registered for the first half-year of the program, you do not need to resubmit the application form and required documents.
