May Art Exhibit: Byrne Marston
Byrne Marston was born in New York City in 1931. He has been painting in oils and watercolors for many years, more intently since retiring in 2000 after a long career in medicine. He learned color theory by taking many workshops at The Cape School of Art, with which he has been associated since the 1980s, and by his association with artist-friends in the Provincetown art community. He now paints exclusively in watercolor as a medium, finding it more spontaneous and more useful in expressing differing effects of light on the landscape of the Outer Cape. He and his family have a long history in Truro. Marston is also the son of William Moulton Marston, creator of the super heroine, Wonder Woman.
