Free Lunch for Kids
The Truro Public Library is pleased to join other local community institutions this summer who provide free lunches for all children 18 years and under through Food For Kids. This open, drop-in program offers a nutritious meal, fresh-packed in the morning by the primary sponsor in our area, The Church of the Holy Spirit, and distributed to sites from Chatham to Provincetown. The Summer Food Service Program is a federally funded child nutrition program whose goal is to feed children and teens ages 1-18 during the summer months when they do not have access to school meals. The Truro Public Library will offer free lunches every Thursday and Friday in July and August from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. They will be served outside on the back deck when weather permits, and are preceded at 10:30 a.m by our StoryTime program on Thursdays, and more fun programs on Fridays.
