TRURO PUBLIC LIBRARY COMPUTERS AND EQUIPMENT

Our WiFi connection is available 24/7 and may be accessed outside the library when we’re not open.

The library has 5 PCs connected to a black and white laser printer.  We have a high speed cable connection to the Internet. One of these PCs has been set up for 15-minute e-mail access; the others have Microsoft Office programs, a selection of children’s computer games, and are available for general purpose computing applications.  Users are required to sign up at the circulation desk; you’ll need your CLAMS card.  Prints are $0.10 per page. We’re sorry but we do not take reservations for computer use in advance or over the phone.

Copier

A general purpose black and white digital copier is available for public use. Copies are $0.10 each.

Facsimile Service

A facsimile machine is available for public use.  The fee for sending is $2.00 for the first page and $0.50 for each subsequent page sent to the same phone number. The cost for received pages is $1.00 for the first page and $0.25 for each additional page.  The fax number is 508-487-3571.  Please be sure to request senders to clearly indicate your name and phone number on documents being sent to you.

Aladdin Telesensory Magnifying Machine

This machine is available to patrons who need assistance with seeing and reading printed material.  It is a magnifying machine that enlarges print so that it is more comfortable to read.  The machine is located in the main reading room just outside the door to the Cobb Room.
